Creative Events at Birdsnest Arts: Join Us for Life Drawing and More in March

March brings fresh opportunities to explore your creativity at Birdsnest Arts. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, there is something for everyone this month. From life drawing sessions to sculpture workshops and children’s animation classes, Birdsnest offers a welcoming space to develop your skills and enjoy the creative process.

Life Drawing Sessions for All Levels

Life drawing is a classic way to improve your understanding of the human form, proportions, and shading. Birdsnest Arts hosts two life drawing events this March:

• Life Drawing on March 9th, 7–9 pm

This session welcomes artists of all abilities. Whether you are just starting or have years of experience, you will find a supportive environment to practice and refine your skills. The session includes short and long poses to help you capture movement and detail.

• Life Drawing for Beginners on March 16th, 7–9 pm

If you have never tried life drawing before, this beginner-friendly session is perfect. The instructor will guide you through basic techniques and help you build confidence in drawing the human figure.

Both sessions provide materials, but you are welcome to bring your own sketchbook and preferred drawing tools.

Sculpture Workshop to Shape Your Ideas

On March 15th, from 10 am to 2 pm, Birdsnest Arts offers a Sculpture Session. This hands-on workshop is ideal for anyone interested in three-dimensional art. You will learn how to work with different materials and tools to create your own sculpture. The session encourages experimentation and personal expression, making it suitable for all skill levels.

Creative Animation Workshops for Children

Birdsnest Arts also supports young artists with two engaging workshops focused on animation techniques:

• Children’s Puppet Making for Animation on March 31st and April 7th, 10:30 am–12:30 pm

Kids will learn how to create puppets that can be used in stop-motion animation. This workshop combines crafting skills with storytelling, sparking imagination and technical know-how.

• Children’s Stop Motion Animation on April 1st and April 8th, 10:30 am–12:30 pm

Following the puppet-making sessions, children can bring their creations to life through stop-motion animation. They will learn the basics of frame-by-frame filming and editing, gaining a fun introduction to digital creativity.

These workshops provide a great way for children to develop artistic skills and explore new media in a friendly setting.
